Performance

As a trombonist, Bowyer has performed in nearly 50 countries on six continents, having worked as a bandleader, a soloist, and an orchestra member with artists including Dave Brubeck, Betty Carter, Charo, the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, Phyllis Diller, the Fifth Dimension, the Four Freshmen, Jack Jones, the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Al Martino, Bobby McFerrin, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, James Moody, Tommy Newsome, the Platters, Mavis Rivers, the Spinners, Fred Travalena, and the West Virginia Chorale.

He also spent five years playing trombone on eleven cruise ships in the Caribbean Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Gulf of Alaska. The first ten didn’t sink. (See this link for an account of the eleventh.)
