Rooftop Trombone in the Age of Covid-19, v2.0

14 October - 22 December 2020

When the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan region of Malaysia began its second Conditional Movement Control Order (partial lockdown) on 14 October 2020, Don Bowyer committed to a second season streaming live music and bad jokes at 7pm everyday until the lockdown is lifted. Previously, he had done the same for 106 days between 18 March and 01 July 2020. He began a third season on 13 January 2021.

For this series, Bowyer improvised trombone commentary most nights in response to poetry or images.

Dean of the School of Arts at Sunway University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bowyer is an American who has been in Malaysia since December 2016.
