This composition for soprano and wind ensemble is based on a few lines from the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám (translated by Edward Fitzgerald). It was composed for the installation ceremony of a university president.

There is also a version of this for soprano with chamber winds (4 woodwinds, 4 brass, 1 percussion).
