Hunter-Gatherer

This piece for solo bassoon was commissioned by bassoonist Hunter Thomas of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. The three short movements explore jazz styles — a blues, a ballad, and a Latin jazz feel. In each movement the bassoonist also plays hi-hat and/or shaker while playing the bassoon.
