International Trombone Festival – 6/26/13 & 6/28/13

Two different ensembles will perform Don Bowyer compositions at the International Trombone Festival in Columbus, Georgia, on June 26 & 28, 2013. The conference will be hosted by The Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University.

The Elysian Trombone Consort will perform one movement from the Trombone Requiem on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 3pm. The full Trombone Requiem is about 35 minutes in length, and was scored for six trombones who also chant and play hand percussion instruments. The ensemble will perform a four-trombone version of the “Dies Irae.”

The Arkansas State University Trombone Choir will perform Lost in Regensburg, written for ten trombones, on Friday, June 28, 2013,  at 9am.
